Maybe I should have called this blog "Sleepless in Spanish Fork." Either way, it's the same story:
We got home from our evening activities at 6:30 last night. It was obvious my kids both needed to go to bed early, and I was rather tired myself. I don't know how I did it, but I had us all in bed at 7:30. Morgan was asleep almost immediately, and Brynne actually managed to fall asleep after a potty break at 8:30. I was out somewhere around 8:00, and managed to sleep quick soundly for a while (except for waking up to the noise of Brynne's potty trip).
At 1:00, I woke up dying of thirst. After a trip to the kitchen for some water, I could not get back to sleep. I figured I'd still get my 8 hours of sleep as long as I fell back to sleep by 3:30. Well, that time came and went. I finally got out of bed around 3:45 and came to do my blog about family pictures. I was just uploading my last photos to complete the blog when my internet went out for some reason. By then it was 5:15. I had some breakfast and then decided on a great plan: I would take a bath. I get some of my best sleeping done in the bath. I set my phone alarm and climbed in. After a 10 minute cat nap, I woke up -- no idea why. Frustrated that I couldn't get back to sleep, I decided to see if the internet was working.
(I made an amazing discovery in the bathroom -- I found my sister Lindsey's towel from her Thanksgiving visit. When I did laundry after Thanksgiving, I knew I was one towel short, but I couldn't find it. Then I forgot all about it. But there it was hanging on the hooks on the back of the door. Good thinking Lindsey, hang the towel where it goes and see if I can find it!)
Anyway, the internet was working, now two posts later it's time for me to get in some scripture reading and wake up the kids for school. Anyone want to join me for an afternoon nap?
P.S. Don't forget to read the next blog too -- I actually wrote two in one day! :)

What an incredably rude night- And it isn't even Christmas. A nap sounds good and I am happy for a new blog and some new numbers for Lee. You are probably so excited to be seeing Marshall pretty soon.
I'll take a nap any day of the week. Why is it that when we're old enough to appreciate them we can't have them???
Next time you're up and can't sleep you should call my mom, Rachel or Gus -- they're all insomniacs (if that's a real word). Just leave me out of it!!!
