Did I Mention New Hair and New Braces?

If you looked closely at the pictures in my two previous posts, you may have noticed a little something different about Morgan. She got braces! She has a cross bite (perhaps made worse by the thumb sucking when she was younger??), and we were told age eight is a perfect time to start correcting the problem. Two weeks ago she got an expander appliance to help widen her upper pallet, and the braces are to keep everything looking okay when the teeth get all spread out. She'll have to wear everything for 9 months to a year. Then she'll get braces again when she's older, if necessary, to straighten everything out.
You may also notice Morgan's cute haircut. She has been wanting really long hair, but she's never been big on letting me fix it. She finally decided she'd rather have it short and easier to take care of; so just a few days before the braces came on, the hair came off. I think it's a very cute cut (which means even more because I was the one who cut it!).

Brynne has always preferred short hair because she can't stand tangles. When I cut Morgan's hair, Brynne decided she was also ready for a trim. She said she wanted it the same length as Morgan's. Isn't she cute!

Cutting the girls' hair reminded me that I was also due for a cut. Unfortunately, I can't cut my own hair; so I actually took a trip to the salon (equipped with a coupon!). As you can see, we all now have basically the same hair cut. :)

This is all really just a test for Lee -- to see if he can tell us all apart when he finally gets to move home next month!!!!!!!!! :)
