On Friday afternoon, we decided to drive up to Birch Creek, which is a camping/fishing spot on the way up to Salmon. My Mom's dad used to take her and her four brothers fishing there a lot when they were growing up in Idaho Falls. With that memory in mind, my mom's brothers have begun a yearly tradition of meeting up at Birch Creek to fish. This year a few of my cousins came up with their kids too, so we drove up to spend an afternoon with them. Here's a picture of my cousin Sarah and her daughter Olivia, my sister-in-law Michelle with little Annie, and me with Brynne.

Hanging with the Uncles at Birch Creek
Our super trip began with a drive to Idaho Falls to stay with Uncle Brandon and his family one more time before they move to Florida for graduate school. We helped them get ready for a garage sale and took some time to go see Carrie La, who was a roommate of mine at BYU.

My cousin Robb gets the "Man of the Hour" award. He was on a vacation from his kids, but he still was willing to take my kids fishing for a bit. I'll even forgive him for the fact that he let my kids wade in the water with their shoes and socks still on. :)
I wish I could say that Morgan caught a fish, but it didn't happen. She still wanted a picture with a fish, though, so we borrowed one and here you go. :)
I even let my kids go on a short motorcycle ride with Sarah's husband, Jake. My kids know all about helmets, and I wasn't sure how I was going to explain letting them ride without one. Jake was kind, though, and took it really slow and didn't go far. Here's Brynne with Jake.
And here's Morgan riding with Jake.
On the way to Salmon the next day, I stopped off to see my friend Tina Knight and her family. I had babysat her son Ryan when we lived in Salmon, and they have since moved down closer to Idaho Falls. Then we stopped one more time to see the cousins at Birch Creek. I'm considering joining them one of these years because it was lots of fun visiting and playing with everyone!
