Hurray for Lee!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, Lee!!! Lee emailed me during the wee hours of the morning to let me know he had completed the last portion of his 737 Type Rating exam. He is now officially legal to fly a Boeing 737 airplane! This is a really big step, and one that Lee has been working hard toward. Now he just has to head back to Wyoming/Colorado to finish his 200 hours (which will unfortunately have to come during less-than-pleasant weather). Then we will finally be able to apply at Southwest Airlines and see if our goals and ambitions will work out as desired. Meanwhile, we will celebrate the newest (and biggest!!) type rating! Hurray!! I am very proud of you Lee!

Lee Is Onto Bigger and Better!

Some of you may have noticed that Lee's hours haven't changed in over a week. That's because he's basking in the sun in beautiful Texas! Okay, so he isn't really getting a chance to enjoy the sun, but he is in Texas.

Lee's taking a two-week course to become licensed to fly Boeing 737 airplanes. Lee is more giddy with the current state of affairs than any child is on Halloween! He has been studying hard for months and should have his 737 type by a week from tomorrow!

This is a big step in our career plans. As soon as he's done, he'll be back to Wyoming to take care of the 200 hours he has left to fly -- and then we're smelling Southwest!!! :)
