Easter Fun
The best thing about Easter this year is that Lee got to come home. Before he arrived, however, we managed to squeeze in a couple of fun Easter activities. The first one was an Easter egg hunt sponsored by our mortgage broker company. They had hunts for several different age groups, including one for adults. The girls and I took our Easter baskets and braved the cold to try for some cool prizes. Here we are showing off our loot on the way out:
As luck would have it, the Easter Bunny even showed up for the festivities. Morgan was more than happy to take a picture with him (or is it her?). Brynne went up for a moment and just held on tight to Morgan, but she didn't last long enough to be in the picture.
Even though it was a bit rainy, we stuck around for a few minutes after the last egg hunt to play at the playground. Brynne wanted to hold her basket while she swung on the swings.
Here are both girls posing with our goods. Morgan got a cute Shrek pen and a bunch of candy. Brynne got candy along with some kind of prize, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I got the Mickey Mouse doll at the bottom of the picture along with the cute Easter sign. When it was time for me to do the adult lady hunt, the girls gave me one instruction, "Get us a stuffed animal!" Mind you, there were free movie passes, nice lotions and soaps, dollar bills, etc -- all sorts of good stuff, but my girls wanted a stuffed animal. I saw a really big bunny way out yonder and decided to just go for it. I ran for all I was worth (trying not to step on plastic eggs as I ran), but another lady reached the stuffed bunny moments before I did. It was then that I noticed the Mickey and picked him up really quick. Then I saw the sign sticking out of the ground and snagged it before throwing a bunch of eggs in my basket. The whole thing was over in a matter of seconds -- pretty crazy stuff! But you'll be glad to know that Brynne's wedding Minnie Mouse now has a friend! :)

What a cool Easter egg hunt. I'm sorta glad you didn't get the big bunny. What a pain to store huh?
Cute kids, cute eggs, nice neighbors - Happy Easter.
