Spanish Fork has an event every year (I have yet to research the cause of the celebration, anyone know?) called the Harvest Moon Hurrah. This year's event was last Saturday, and it was a free event (except for food that was between $1 and $3) and tons of fun. So after watching the BYU vs. Wyoming football game (Love those Cougars!!!), the girls and I headed down to the park for some free fun.

Harvest Moon Hurrah
Wow -- I'm really sorry to those of you who have been checking my blog regularly and keep finding my foot starring back at you. That's not a pretty picture for a whole week and a half. Sorry! Here are some much more enjoyable pictures for you!
The first thing the girls wanted to do was the pony rides. We had to wait in line for about 35 minutes, which really wasn't so bad because the weather was a perfect 75 degrees. As you can see, the girls really enjoyed riding. (At the end of the night, Brynne wanted to get back in the pony line because it was super duper short. I told her she could try, but they told her that they weren't accepting anyone else --the ponies had already gone an hour longer than scheduled at this point. My sweet Brynne came bawling to me looking more devastated than I ever remember seeing her before. Poor girl.)
After the pony rides, we got in line for a ride on a trailer being pulled by a tractor. This time the girls decided it would be more fun to play in the tree while I stood in line. Turns out there's some really good climbing trees at the park.
And here we are on the trailer. They had a guy up front with a guitar who sang kids songs for us during the ride. And the nice, unsuspecting soul next to us was even kind enough to snap a photo for us.
After the tractor ride, we went to listen to a juggling story teller. He was tons of fun, and the girls laughed a lot as they watched him. As soon as he was done, the girls got in line to have balloon tying done for them. The nice lady in the green hat (below) had been tying balloons (very quickly, I might add) for a straight four hours (we got there not long before she finally stopped). This fact becomes even more miraculous when you get to the front of the line and realize the lady is about five months pregnant -- wow!!
Brynne elected to have the balloon lady make her a sword and belt (to hold the sword). Morgan asked for a princess hat. We were in line for a whole hour to do the balloon tying. The only way we made it for the whole hour (especially because it was getting closer and closer to bedtime), is that once again I stood in line while I sent the girls over to play on the play equipment. As luck would have it, the line for the balloon tying was right next to the stage where Eclipse was performing. I have no idea how tiny Spanish Fork City was able to schedule Eclipse (who performed at the SLC Olympics and who are really, really good--check out the link!), but I sure enjoyed listening to them. If you look closely, you'll see some of the group on stage in white shirts behind Morgan's hat:
There were many other activities that we didn't do (crafts, pumpkin bowling, sidewalk chalk, etc.), but we sure had a fun night. And I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that y'all will have more fun reading this blog than you did the one about my toe, which by the way is healing. :)

Hey, guess what! I can post comments. Clever me. I didn't know I had an accound and I now that I do I intend to use it. This is Linz by the way. :-) That sounds like a totally fun day! I love fall harvest stuff. I loved the pictures and basically loved the whole blog. Except of course, I don't love the cougars, espically on that day. But loved the blog!
You wanted me to check out somebody in a white shirt behind Morgan? Oh! The band! Yeah, I see them back there...
Fun stuff is so . . . well, fun. So glad they have lots of it there. Also glad your toe is healing - what does that mean exactly - you can shower now without pain?
I love fun free stuff! I think there is more stuff like that around here-- I just have to find it. You guys are crazy busy! Congrats again Morgan for becoming an orange belt!!
OH how fun! Its been a while since I've seen your blog. Lots of fun things. I miss the BYU games. But we do listen to them here (or watch them).
